What is the NTCET?
The Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET) is the senior secondary qualification for NT students. It uses SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education) subjects and other recognised learning across Stage 1 (Year 11) and Stage 2 (Year 12). Students need 200 credits minimum to complete, including compulsory literacy, numeracy, and Stage 2 requirements.
How many credits do I need to complete the NTCET?
Students need a minimum of 200 credits to complete the NTCET. This includes compulsory requirements: 10 credits for Exploring Identities and Futures (Stage 1), at least 20 literacy credits, at least 10 numeracy credits, and at least 60 Stage 2 credits. The remaining credits come from additional SACE subjects and recognised learning.

The ATAR is calculated from the best 4 or 5 TAS subjects, scaled by the NT Tertiary Admissions Centre (NTTAC). Not all Stage 2 subjects contribute to TAS credits.
